Hello. I am a single mother of 2 children. Last year I co-signed for a vehicle for a boyfriend of 3 years after several talks about him moving to Tulsa. In 2 months, I received a phone call from the dealer that he had dumped the vehicle. I have paid to have the truck towed to Tulsa, get the insurance and try and keep up the payments. Since the dealer drove the truck to Tulsa for me to sign the papers, I thought they could help me and buy back the truck. That is not the case. I have been struggling to add this truck payment in the amount of $ 529.00 a month to try and stop the 10-15 phone calls I receive a day about my payments. I am getting to the point that I cannot do this anymore. I have not only messed up my life but that of my children's. It's not fair to them that we are in the mess that we are in.
I was hoping that the Child Support Services here in Tulsa would be able to find my ex-spouse and start collecting the almost $ 20,000 he owes me. After 1 year, there has been no luck. I am trying to get help to get the truck paid off so I can sell it. This will cost $ 5,000 to $ 6,000. I have been told that there is no way to find my now ex-boyfriend for the costs that I have incurred. I would go to an attorney if I could afford it, however, I only have $150.00 left for groceries and bills.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
